The Roller Coaster Continues

Dear Friends and Family,
We made it through our first day without shedding any tears! Reagan had another great day. The doctors did a scan of her brain and everything looks perfect. No head bleed which is common for her age. They also did another echo of her heart and everything looks great there too!! She had a very large poopy diaper so they restarted her feeds today. She now can peak at us with both eyes. I believe daddy was the first person she saw. I guess we have another daddy's girl. She is still on the ventilator but they switched her from the jet to conventional for my RT friends. Oxygen is still 25%-35%. The doctors promised me they would not try to take her off again for a week. Everyday something different happens; I know there is a lot more to come but I pray they are more like today.
I wanted to say a special thanks to my church family and Sandra for the beautiful prayer quilt. We have it above Reagan's bed. I know lots of prayers went up for Reagan yesterday and I can't image what our day would have been like without them. Thanks so much for all the encouraging notes. I hope we can bless your lives as much as each of you have blessed ours. When I get my computer working more pictures will be posted!
We love you!
Amy and Robert

I am so glad you guys had a nice encouraging day. You all deserved one! How cool that she can peek out at you now! That has to just melt your heart. Robert, start wrapping yourself around that little pinky finger! :) I hope your recovery is going better, Amy. I was thinking today of how many people you both are already touching by standing strong in your faith. You keep going and we will keep praying!! Love you all!

Amy I think I made it all day without tears too! Whoopee! It was so good to see Reagan, Amy, and Robert all doing better today. Reagan peaked at me too. Amy I heard that you grounded Reagan for 1 year for her bad behavior but I took it off because it wasn't her fault. I can't wait to hold her.
I can't believe all of the prayers that are going up in you guys behalf. Connie and I are feeling them too. Thank you everyone for your prayers. Everyone that I talk to from gas station attendants, ChickFilet window attendants, Carter Brothers waitress, bank tellers, building contractors & thier secretaries, to friends and family say they will be remembering Reagan and her family in prayer. Thank you all very much.

Proud Papa,
Dave

We are continuing to check often for updates. I was having my devotions before my baby-sitting kids started to arrive and wanted to check your blog to see how I should pray this morning and I was just thanking the Lord that He gave all of you a good day yesterday and we are praying for an even better day today. That is really neat about the prayer quilt from the church. You will always cherish that. We can hardly wait to see more pictures. Love and continued prayers, Deb and Bob

We are praying for Reagan and her parents every day - and many times during the day. Thanks for keeping the blog updated. Grandpa Dave said it best - everyone that I talk to is asking about and praying for Baby Reagan. Yesterday was great today will be better.

Great news you guys!! I am informing the neighbors little by little about Reagan so they can keep you guys in their prayers as well. I am also using this opportunity to gather all of their email addresses as well. I look forward to hearing some more good news and new pictures. I hope and pray that today is as good as yesterday!!! :)

Dear Reagan, Robert, and Amy,
We pray for you all everyday, and hope each day continues to get better and better.
Reagan, Happy 1 week old today!! You know I would sing it to you if you could hear me (I might anyway for your mom since she always sings to me every birthday). I will see you all soon, and I hope today is a great day!!

Some encouragement for the day from our heavenly Father...
"Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

"Isaiah 40:29-31 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."

"Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

"Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work in us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever."

"1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."

Love,
Dana and David

Reagan,

I was so proud to see you the other day. It gave me pause to think. When you developed fluid around your heart, it scared us all and we moved you to a different hospital where you are no longer isolated from the family. Since then, no more heart problems. I can't help but wonder if you did that just so we could see and be touched by you. You’re so smart... clearly taking after your Uncle Steve and fortunately not your father. It is just one example of something that we may perceive as a tragedy or a setback but really is a blessing in disguise.

Keep up the good fight,

Uncle Steve

Robert and Amy,
I just want to say thank you. Reading your postings about Reagan and hearing your faith echo in the words that you write are truly encouraging. Even though you are undoubtably going through the roughest moments of your lives, you are managing to witness about God's love and wisdom. What a true inspiration you are. Please know that we are continuing to pray for Reagan.

I'm with your Uncle Steve, I think it's been a blessing to have you where we can all see you, I know you have touched our hearts! It's been a blessing to see what a miracle you are and how mighty God is. He has His hand on you and will continue to no matter what!
