Reagan Olivia Winslow

Dear Friends and Family,
Most of you have heard by now that Robert and I are proud parents of a baby girl, Reagan Olivia Winslow. Unfortunately, she decided to make her appearance early. She was born March 4 at 4:09am weighing 1 lb-5.9 ounces. She is 12" long. We ask that you continue to pray for her and mommy and daddy as we have a long stressful road ahead. She is currently stable and doing what a 24 week infant is expected to do. Please pray that God will guide the doctors, nurses, and staff taking care of her and continue to help her develop and mature. Nothing is too big or small for God to handle!
We will update this website regularly and add some pictures soon. We enjoy reading your emails. Thanks for all your love, prayer, and support.

Sincerely,
Amy and Robert

What a wonderful blessing to have your own sweet little girl. I know beyond any doubt that you are going to be an AWESOME mom! I shared your news with the kids and we will be praying - constantly for you, Robert and little Reagan.
We have followed the progress of another tiny infant -- our friends here in New Bern have a baby boy that was born very early also -- he is doing well and we will pray that Reagan follows the same path to full healing and health.
God bless you all.
We love you guys!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS on your first baby girl! I sent a picture to Meredith and she said "that baby is not caucasion" (Robert you know what that means!) Seriously though, I have been praying for you all (and especially Reagan) a tremendous amount. The Brooklyn Tabernacle prayer band is also praying for her for the next month (around the clock). God is so good to us!

Much love,

Pokey

I love you guys so much. Michelle and I are praying for you guys and Reagan. We are so proud of our niece and how strong her parents are. It's hard to understand how we can love someone so much even though we haven't meet her. It reminds me of how we love God with all our hearts even though we can't see Him in person. I know God has a plan for Reagan and we can rest assured that He's got her in His arms and He is in complete control of the situation. I can't comprehend what You and Robert are going through emotionally buy I do know that God loves you and will comfort you. I am so proud to be Reagan's Uncle Michael.

We just wanted to welcome our new best friend to the world. We know that our mommy and yours have been friends for a long time and our grandpa and your papa before that. So, I guess, we have no choice now on our 3rd generation. We love you so much and mommy is keeping us updated since we can't meet you yet. We are praying for you (even though we can't quite get your name said clearly yet--we know Jesus understands).
Much love and we can't wait to play with you.

God has proven true to us in the darkest hours of our lives and he will do the same for you and your family. He has little Reagan in the palm of his hand.He knew she would be coming early long before anyone else did and he is in control.Lean hard on him and he will see you through the long days ahead.I shared the pictures with MaKalah and MaKenna and they were very concerned. They wanted you to know they are praying for your little girl. You all are in our prayers.

Amy, I was glad that I was able to be part of Reagan's delivery (I just wish it could have been a few months later). I want you to know that you, Robert, and baby Reagan have been in my prayers many times a day since her delivery. Only God knows why you are facing the difficult trial in your lives, remember God will use all things for the good of those who love him. I believe that in a year from now you will have a wonderful testimony to other parents in the NICU, you will be able to share how you also went through the emoitional ups and downs of having a 24 weeker. I also believe that you will be able to share how God took you through that journey and how Reagan is a normal healthy baby who acts like any other 1 year old. Remember that it is your faith in God and his love for you that will carry you through the next few months. You will continue to be part of my daily prayers. I know that it must be very difficult to move from a NICU nurse to a NICU mom, but you are doing a wonderful job! If you need to talk, cry, or anything else please know that I am here for you and my love and prayers are with you, Robert and Reagan always.

Hello Amy, Robert and Baby Reagan. I have been thinking and praying for you all daily. I got to see the pictures of Reagan and she is perfect and so tiny. I am so encouraged to hear and see how you are trusting in God for his protection over your precious baby girl. I read the email "it smells like rain" through tear filled eyes. God is so good and it is comforting to know He is holding Reagan in His arms. I love you all and I can't wait to meet this miracle baby!

"Nana" and "Meme" were invited to go with Amy and Robert to the ultra-sound when it was determined that this baby was "Reagan Olivia". As I gazed in wonder at the images, the profile of her face, the vertebrae in her spine and Reagan's tiny finger held up as if to say, "I'm your #1 child!", I thought of the words of Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV) "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

We pray that Reagan will grow as God has planned so that she can fulfill God's purpose in His creation. It is comforting to know that God knows her inside and out!

Amy and Robert, we thank God for Reagan and are blessed to watch you standing strong in adversity. We are so grateful for caring friends, relatives, and "friends of friends" who are joining us on this journey, as we attempt to faithfully trust God's providence for each minute of the coming days.

Much love,
Meme and Papa Winslow

Hello, my name is Suzannah Crayton. My mom teaches with Portia's mom so that is how I know about your baby. I am writing because my husband Jimmy and I recently (January 14 to be exact), brought home our 25 week old baby boy Elijah. He was due January 1 but decided to make his appearence on Septmember 22. Your pictures and reports are so fresh to me and I understand first hand what you are going through. But, you are right when you say that God is bigger and He can and will always be in control of everything. He has a perfect plan for your precious baby girl...he simply needed to get started on her early!! I will continue to be in prayer for you daily. It is a long and rocky road, but an amazing experience. God is so good and He has blessed you with a true miracle. Jimmy and I read scripture to Eli everytime we visited him and spoke life into his precious little body. We taped Psalm 118 to his incubator...I will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. Continue to trust in Him and God bless each of you.
I would love to be an encourager to you so if you ever want to talk, please give me a call...919-634-1984; I would love to hear from you.

I was heartbroken when I went into work at FMC to discover that Reagan was born so early. I kept thinking, "Why did God let her come so soon?" I have now finished reading all your daily updates and looking at the beautiful pictures and am convinced that she is here for some special reason. Although I've never met Robert I feel like he can and will be an incredible father and I know that Amy will be a wonderful mother. I know that you are challenged daily but know that God is caring for you two and that he is also looking out for Reagan. I'm here for you, Amy, if you need me. Please remember that. Keep us posted and I'll pray for all of you! Love Beth DelFava

Dear Winslow Family,
My name is Christian Grimes, I believe we have some mutual friends(Rick and Ann Hazelton.) I hope you don't mind that they have alerted my husband and I of the special gift you now have in life, and I just wanted to extend my prayers to you and your family. You see, I too, am a NICU Mommy of a 23 week little girl born on Jan. 12th 2008. My husband and I have been VERY blessed much like your blessings with you're little precious angle, we are also very familiar with Preemie life and life as NICU parents. We wanted to let you know that we are here for you if you have any questions, we're here with support if you need it, and we will always send many prayers up for Miss Reagan. We are still at Brenner's and will be until mid May. Please let me know if there is any thing we can do for you.
