24 Hour Post Surgery Update

Dear Friends and Family,

We are now 24 hours post surgery. Reagan is having difficulties in a couple areas today. Her blood pressure is low and doesn't seem to be responding to medication (Dopamine, Dobutamine, Hydrocortisone). She also is having difficulty with her urine output. This could be a result of her decrease in blood pressure. Please pray for Reagan as she is trying to recover from the stress of surgery. She appears to be resting very comfortably and is doing great with her oxygenation. We've been told it usually takes 24-48 hours to recover and start improving after a PDA ligation. Reagan, Mommy, and Daddy send their thanks for all the extra prayers and ask that you continue to pray for a quick recovery.

Thanks Again!

Love,

Amy, Robert, and Baby Reagan

I've been following this blog since someone posted about Reagan on etsy.com. I am praying so hard for your daughter. I know how hard it seems right now...counting every moment, every day...every breath even. My own daughter was born last Feb. 21st weighing 2 lbs, 4 ounces. She too had the PDA and issues of prematurity. The daily trips to the NICU..the tubes, the wires & endless alarms...the worrying and the waiting...all familiar to me. I know where you are right now. Please, take heart & trust that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It seems like forever, I know. Soon, she'll be home with you guys and wrapping you even further around her tiny little fingers :) God is listening. I'm praying for your miracle.

Goodness...yet another opportunity to storm the gates of heaven! Bless her little heart--literally! Although I can't be there in person to pray with you, I'd like to pray for y'all "long distance". Know that my arms would be around you, if I was there!

Father God, we love you so much and we are so needy. Without you, we are nothing. I come to you in bold faith just now, asking for the healing touch that can come only from you, our creator & redeemer. Lord, I pray that you will give baby Reagan such a speedy, complete, and miraculous healing so that it can be truly said "this is of God". I don't presume, Father, to impose our will upon you, but you have told us if we ask, it will be done. We cling to your many promises, one of them being that all things work together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. You are a faithful God, so we claim your promise. You also promised to never leave nor forsake us, so I ask that you will wrap your mighty loving arms around precious little Reagan & give her peace and healing. I also ask that you wrap Amy, Robert, Nana, Papa, Meme, and Pappa Ed in your arms & bless them with your peace--the peace that passes ALL understanding. Father, help them to keep their eyes focused on you, and you alone. I thank you for giving life to Reagan. I thank you for your sustaining power given to Amy & Robert during this stressful time. I thank you & praise you for the witness they are able to share with others. May there be some who don't know you who will come to a saving knowledge of you because of the faith of Robert & Amy. Lord, I praise you for who you are and what you are. I am so humbled by the unique way you hear and answer our prayers. Father, I commend this family to your endless love & care. I pray this all in the precious name of Jesus. Amen

Love you all!
Linda
